I had been delaying painting with highly saturated colors, since lighter tones often give a cheerful feeling. But that day I had run out of ideas, so I decided to paint a warm red hibiscus to try. To my surprise, the color radiated a sense of power and strength. The delicate veins gave the petals beautiful, flowing curves.
