Daarvan, Hiervan, Ervan

When they replace “van + noun” (of it / of them) and are always written as one word. They mean : of it / of them / from it / from them .

Ervan is the most nature choice in spoken Dutch.
Ik heb ervan gehoord. I have heard of it.

Daarvan is mainly used in formal contexts, such as news articles and reports.
It refers to something that has already been mentioned earlier in the context.
Er zijn veel woningen. Steeds meer daarvan wordt opgekocht.
There are many homes. More and more of them are being bought up.

Hiervan refers to something that is physically or mentally close to the speaker.
It is usually used when pointing at something or explaining something that is present.
Ik heb drie rapporten. Hiervan is er één afgerond.
I have three reports. One of these is finished.
