It is the last day of summer carnival, and already next week the school bells will ring again.
This summer stretches long — it makes me long for a heavy autumn rain. Today the air is warm and the sky is clear, a perfect day to step outside and savor the lingering season of ice cream.

I walked to the center of the city, joining the heat of its atmosphere. It is always a delight to see the smiles of girls and boys after the rush of adrenaline-filled excitement. Life, too, cannot move forward without its rises and falls. That is why we have learned — to accept everything.

On the way back I bought a bundle of dried flowers, discounted because some of their delicate petals had loosened or fallen away when touched by passing hands. Yet I decided to give their lives another meaning. Now they stand in my kitchen, shining with elegance, carrying the joy of being reborn.
